Newsletter FrontPage Welcome to our Saskatoon and Area Homeschoolers' Bulletin Board!

This page is maintained by volunteer homeschooling parents for the benefit of our community.  Facebook is great, but has its limitations.  We hope to see this page utilized as a way of notifying our fellow homeschoolers of what's going on throughout the year.  We hope that it once again becomes an active means of communication.

You can help!

Get the word out to check this page often.  Organize (and let us know about!) a field trip or class.  Participate in as much as you like. If there's information you'd like to circulate, please email or phone the administrator, Jennifer Peak.

“Sing Choirs of Angels”: Saskatoon Children’s Choir in Concert

SASKATOON, SK - The award winning Saskatoon Children’s Choir (SCC), under the direction of Artistic Director Phoebe Voigts, will be joined by a number of professional brass, string and percussion players from Saskatoon for its annual Christmas concert “Sing Choirs of Angels”.

The annual concert takes place on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 7:30 PM at Knox United Church in Saskatoon, and will feature the angelic over 120 choristers, with Michelle Aalders at the piano. On the program classical and contemporary choral music, as well as the choir’s stunning renditions of traditional seasonal favourites.

“We are delighted to be joined by so many Saskatoon’s professional musicians once again for this year’s concert,” said Voigts.  “Their presence not only enriches the selections on the program, but also creates a wonderful learning experience for our choristers.”

The SCC is a strong presence on the world choral stage. They have performed in France, Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic, China, the United States, South Africa, united Kingdom, Ireland and across Canada. They are currently preparing for their international performance tour to Italy next summer.

Tickets are $30 and $15 (limited sight lines) and are available at McNally Robinson Booksellers, and at the door. Reserved seating.

Homeschool Directory Update:

The 2016/17 Homeschool Directory has been e-mailed out.  If you didn't receive it and were supposed to or would like to be added, please message Jessica: gjbenson77@gmail.com

My name is Roxanne Frost. I homeschooled my four children in Regina and ended up with a lawyer and three doctors. I wrote a book detailing some of the things I did to help my children achieve this success. My book is called, "Three Doctors: Molding & Developing Exceptional Children". Please let me know if you would be interested in buying a copy. I am selling the book for $20. I would also like to hold a workshop in Saskatoon for parents who are homeschooling. I would talk for a bit, and then I would give you a chance to ask me any questions you may have. Please message me if you would be interested in this workshop. I truly believe we need professionals and leaders coming out of our Saskatoon homeschool group, and if I can be of any help to you and your children to achieve this, I would love to do so. My email isr.pawlukfrost@gmail.com.
